La aplicación Remind permite enviar mensajes de texto en tiempo real a cualquier celular, para ello el profesor debe crear el espacio para la comunicación llamado “clase” esto generará un código el cual debe proporcionárselo a los estudiantes para que puedan inscribirse.

Remind, puede ser utilizada por profesores para enviar recordatorios a los estudiantes de forma sencilla, segura y confidencial, ello por cuanto los números de teléfono no son visibles para ninguno de los usuarios.

Es importante destacar que, el profesor puede deshabilitar las respuestas de los estudiantes para que la comunicación sea unidireccional, profesor-estudiante; puede habilitar las respuestas para que sea bidireccional, profesor-estudiante-profesor, o bien el profesor puede elegir una comunicación por chat personalizada, con un solo estudiante. La aplicación también permite al remitente ver quién ha leído los mensajes. Además, cabe mencionar que una posibilidad que ofrece la herramienta es que el profesor puede establecer un horario para recibir mensajes y así evitar interrupciones en su tiempo de ocio.
